Reuniting with friends made on tour in Tuscany

Carlo and I are so lucky to have a job we love, running cooking schools and guiding people through bella Tuscany, while making some great friends at the same time.

During our 2014 Mad About Tuscany tour season, we had 3 groups made up of 4 couples who didn't previously know each other but formed life long friendships on tour. Not only have they maintained the friendship, but they have all reunited for a summer holiday at Wildwood Valley.

We spent the weekend cooking, eating, drinking and reminiscing! I hosted a Tuscan cooking school and enjoyed a long lunch at Arivina winery. The 4 couples from each tour have decided to reunite in 2017 and 2018, for another Mad About Tuscany Tour.

Together we discussed highlights of the tour that everyone wants to do again, these included Civita di Bagnoreggio, Orvieto, the underground town.  The Michelin starred restaurant in Montichello with the most stunning valley views, the final dinner at Matteo's restaurant in Cortona and Massimo's wonderful hospitality in Manciano. Not to mention returning to the wonderful city of Cortona to enjoy great shopping, walking, people watching and aperitivo in the piazza!

To offer our returning guests new experiences, Carlo talked through some fantastic new finds such as restaurants, truffle hunting with cooking school to follow and some tiny out of the way villages.

We are working on a new customised itinerary for our returning guests to experience their old favourites plus some marvelous new additions.
